At Eco Energy Improvements, we’ve always believed that community is at the heart of everything we do. That’s why we're thrilled to share that we not only sponsored this year’s 13th Annual Cross Cooley Challenge —we also laced up our boots and took part in it ourselves.

As a family-run solar installation company based right here in Dundalk, it means a lot to us to support local causes in a hands-on way. This challenge gave us a fantastic opportunity to raise much-needed funds for two incredible charities: the Maria Goretti Foundation and the North Louth Hospice & Homecare Foundation.
We’re proud to say that our very own Thomas and Deirdre McGeough completed the challenge too, representing both our commitment to giving back and our personal connection to this community.
That same commitment carries through to the work we do every day. Supporting local charities is one part of our mission but equally important is helping our neighbours, fellow businesses, and community organisations take steps toward a more sustainable future. Whether it’s giving time, resources, or energy solutions, we’re here to make a positive impact in every way we can.

Spring always brings with it a sense of renewal, and what better way to channel that energy than by helping families, small businesses, and local causes transition to clean, renewable energy? From homes to beloved local institutions like Dundalk Golf Club, St. Joseph’s Redemptorist Church, and McGeough’s Bar & Restaurant, we’ve been proud to install solar systems that help cut costs, reduce carbon footprints, and support skilled local jobs.
For us, it’s not just about solar—it’s about being a trusted, active part of the community we live and work in. We’re not here to simply install systems and move on; we’re here to build lasting relationships and be present where it matters most. Whether it’s supporting a local charity, cheering on a neighbour, or taking part in events that bring people together, we believe our role in the community goes far beyond energy. It’s about showing up, giving back, and helping our town thrive.
