Ireland’s SEAI Solar Grant to Remain at €1,800 in 2026

Nearly one gigawatt of power is now being generated from rooftops across the country, including farm buildings, rivaling the output of large solar farms.
With last year seeing 28,000 grant applications for rooftop solar panels—and an expected 33,000 applications in 2025—the momentum behind solar adoption shows no signs of slowing.
In total, 155,000 rooftops in Ireland now feature solar panels, powering homes and reducing energy bills.
